Sigma 28 300mm Lens review: perfect lens for most photographers!
The Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG IF macro aspherical lens varies in focal length abilities from 28mm wide angle to 300mm telephoto with macro capabilities. Special Low Dispersion glass and four-piece aspherical lenses gives the Sigma lens excellent optical ability. A “zoom lock” keeps the lens from changing the zoom unintentionally as well as provides protection when the lens is being stored and relocated. Additionally, the small size of the lens makes it perfect for travel. The Sigma lens has a high zoom ratio of 10.7:1.

The multi layer coating on the lens and its new design decrease flare and ghost and allow for ideal color balance throughout the zoom range. A minimum focus distance of 50 centimeters (19.7 inches) at all of the focal lengths and the macro capabilities at 300mm creates a reproduction ratio of 1:3. The stable yet compact design of the Sigma lens allows for a non-rotating front assembly, which is great when using polarizing filter and Petal-type hood.
